Minister Shanmugam on Singapore's approach to race and religion

In his Ministerial Statement in Parliament on 1 April 2019, Minister for Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam spoke about Singapore's approach in handling race and religion issues.

Referring to the recent incidents of racial and religious violence in Iraq, Syria, New Zealand and Netherlands, he said Singapore was on the positive end of the spectrum of Race and Religious Relations, because of the way we have structured our legal and social framework, as well as efforts to maintain racial and religious harmony.
